How we’re paid
Affiliate disclosure
DCC Train Automation is free to use. It’s paid for by affiliate links: if you buy something after following one of them, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
Amazon
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. In a guide’s “What you’ll need” list, and on our parts and tools pages, some generic items — a multimeter, wire, a soldering iron, an Arduino board — have a “Search Amazon” link. These go to Amazon.co.uk search results (not a single product) and carry our Associates tag. We don’t show Amazon prices, ratings or product photos, because they change; Amazon’s own page is the place to check them.
Manufacturers and shops
Links to manufacturers, software makers and model shops are ordinary links unless we say otherwise. If we ever use an affiliate link for one of them, it’s marked as sponsored in the page code and explained here.
What affiliate links don’t change
Affiliate links never change what our guides say. A guide lists what the project needs, whether or not there’s a link for it, and we don’t accept payment to include, exclude or recommend anything.
